Engine Block Reverse modeling for FEM

This is an example of reverse engineering for the purpose of analyzing the flow of coolant inside an engine cylinder block.

To obtain the internal shape, we first scanned the entire outer shape, then cut it several times to obtain the internal shape, and finally combined all of them to obtain a single complete shape data set. We then used Geomagic Design X to perform parametric feature modeling.
